Joel Giles: Senior Pastor

Joel grew up in Alabama and Florida the fourth of six children. He became a Christian in 1969 and committed himself to full time Christian service in 1975. He attended Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham and Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, IN. He married Deanna in 1980 and they have three children, Caleb (b.1986), Carissa (b.1988), and Micah (b.1991). He enjoys basketball, guitar, biographies, old western movies, and a good steak dinner.
Joel has been at Calvary since July of 1987. His personal life verse is Ezra 7:10 which says that Ezra had prepared his heart to study, live, and teach the Law of the Lord. His passion for ministry is driven by the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:18, “I will build my Church” and by the words of Paul in Ephesians 3:21, “To Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus.”

Eric Tober: Associate Pastor 

Eric and his wife, Chris, grew up in nearby Manteno, Illinois.  They both became Christians on the same night during a youth evangelistic outreach of Grace Baptist Church in Kankakee.  Eric preached his first sermon on youth Sunday at the Manteno Methodist Church when he was 16.  Eric and Chris have three grown kids (Jessica, Heather, and Derek).Eric served on staff at Calvary in 1992 and then became the church planting pastor for Beecher Community (Illinois)EFC in 1996. In 2002 Eric accepted the role as lead pastor of the State College (PA) EFC. Eric returned to Calvary in May of 2009.  Eric graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in Religion and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with an M.A. in Religion and a Doctor of Ministry degree.  Eric loves Monical's pizza, Chicago deep dish pizza, convertible mustangs, and traveling with family and friends. He cheers for Illinois and Penn State in Big Ten sporting events, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears.Favorite movies:  Chariots of Fire, Remember the Titans, Fiddler on the Roof, The Mask of Zorro, and Gladiator

Eric's favorite Bible chapter is Revelation 4.  Eric also serves on the Board of Directors of the EFCA.

Kyle Isabelli: Student Ministries Pastor

Kyle, the youngest of two children, was born and raised in Joliet, IL. He had the great blessing of growing up within a strong Christian family. Kyle accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was eight years old at a Child Evangelism Fellowship after school program.  At age fifteen, he recommitted his life to the Lord and began to live his life solely for Jesus. He felt the call to go into full-time ministry two years later and after graduating from Joliet West High School in 2007, he pursued a degree at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. In May of 2011, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. Shortly after, he married his high school sweetheart, Maria, on July 2nd, 2011. Kyle enjoys playing all types of sports, reading, going on walks with his wife, and is especially fond of Italian cooking, specifically lasagna. He is a big fan of the Bulls and Bears, but the team that has his heart is the New York Yankees! Kyle's favorite bible verses are 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. 

Becky Miller: Interim Contemporary Worship Ministry Director

I have been a member of Calvary Bible Church for almost 13 years.  My husband, Rod, and I live in Herscher and began attending shortly after we were married in 1996.  We have 3 children, Grant (10), Ethan (9), and Lydia (5).  I have been actively involved with the Worship Ministry by directing the Children’s Choir, singing in the Adult Choir and participating in the Worship Team.  I am currently serving as the Contemporary Service Coordinator, as well as the Choir Director and Special Events Coordinator (Christmas, Easter).  I also serve as the Wedding Coordinator for the church. I enjoy serving our church as we strive to change lives with the message of the Gospel.
