The Church: A Place of G.R.A.C.E.

The Church exists to help us as followers of Christ

establish, enrich and enjoy our relationships with

the Lord above us, the Believers among us,

and the World around us. 

The Church is a Worship Center reaching up to Exalt the Father as we:

Glorify God's Name in Worship.  Energize people in Worship.

The greatest commandment is to Love the Lord. That love is expressed in every moment of life and in a special way in corporate worship. We worship in the right assembly with the people of God, from the right attitude of sincere reverence, through the right activities including:

Attendance, Prayer, Singing, Giving, and Listening.

The Church is a Wellness Center reaching around to Embrace the Family as we:

Relate to God’s Family in Fellowship. Enfold people in Fellowship.

The second greatest commandment is to Love one another. Christian love is a basic indicator of our love for the Lord and the most basic form of testimony to the world.

Specific commands include:

Greet one another, Sympathize with one another, Respond to one another, Serve one another.

Apply God’s Word in Discipleship. Establish and Enrich people in Discipleship.

    Bible time is vital for spiritual growth, strength, and service, for

    developing our perspective, knowledge, character, habits, and

    personality, and for guiding our relationships as spouse, parent, child,     friend, neighbor, worker, citizen.

We receive the Word in at least five ways with progressive intensity as we:

Hear, Read, Study, Memorize, Meditate.

Contribute to God’s Work in Service. Equip and Employ people in Service.

Every believer can discover and use their God-given S.H.A.P.E. for

ministry based on:

Spiritual Gifts – abilities given by the Holy Spirit to every believer for service.

Heart – the passions that motivate us, excite us, and energize us.

Abilities – the natural talents that we were born with.

Personality – the unique temperament and traits that make us who we are.

Experiences – relationships, education, work, hobbies, ministries, events, & trials of life.

The Church is a Witness Center reaching out to Extend the Faith as we:

 Express God’s Message in Evangelism. Enlist people in Evangelism.

We reach out as individuals and as a team as we X-P-R-E-S-S our faith:

   X stands for Christ. Christ (Xristos in Greek) must be first in our lives.

      P stands for Prayer. Pray for your lost friends and relatives to be won to    Christ.

      R stands for Relate. Take initiative; be friendly; live a consistent testimony.

      E stands for Expose. Expose friends to God’s people and God’s Word.

      S stands for Share. Our goal is for people to hear a clear gospel presentation.

      S stands for Sponsor. Help converts get started in the Christian life.
